 Leslie O'Ryan IAADA Past President

This year’s annual IAADA business meeting will mark the end
of my term as President, and I would like to thank all of you all
for your support of IAADA over the last year. My time as
President has been rewarding and has resulted in what are
hopefully lifelong friendships with a truly great group of people.

This summer I will be handing the reins over to Dr. Donna
Kirkpatrick-Pinson I would like to take this opportunity to wish her every success in her new role as President.
I believe her acumen and vision will continue to help the organization grow and flourish.

It goes without saying that leading IAADA wouldn’t have been possible with out the efforts and dedication of a number of people.
In particular I’d like to thank the leadership of IAADA who were willing to serve as mentors.
It has personally been a pleasure having the opportunity to work with such a talented, capable, and dedicated group of professionals.
And I would like to extend my appreciation to members who took the initiative to step into the mentee roles.
I am certain that through their leadership IAADA will continue to grow and thrive.

Finally, I would like to extend my sincerest thanks to all the committee chairs and committee members for their valuable support of IAADA.
Most importantly, my thanks go out to you, the members, for your commitment and support; without you IAADA would not exist.
It has been my pleasure to serve you. I’ve come to appreciate even more how important IAADA is for all of us and for our profession.

In closing, I do have one final request. I ask that each of you pledge your continued support to IAADA.
The annual business meeting is now being planned for sometime this summer. You will receive information regarding the meeting soon.
I hope you will attend; remember… it is your involvement that contributes to the success of IAADA

Have a wonderful summer. I look forward to seeing you at the IAADA business meeting or sometime throughout the year.  Best regards,

 - - Leslie W. O’Ryan, Ed. D.,  Past President
