Over the last 20 years, I have worked with a diverse group of clients in a variety of clinical situations. During my career, I have developed a variety of therapeutic interventions. I have based these inventions on my experiences; my staff experiences as well as reading materials. This presentation is based on years of experience, years of reading materials and years
of training staff/interns, it is hard to pin point where a specific intervention was learned or developed. I have included a list of reading materials that I have used over the years. While research demonstrates that the
most important part of the therapy process is the relationship between client and counselor, I believe that one way to develop and strengthen the relationship is through interventions that teach life lessons; help clients
explore their issues and help clients move pass a traumatic event. This workshop will teach some of the interventions that I have learned; teach when to use these interventions and how to develop interventions. I will alternate between hands on activities and a lecture format. The workshop
will focus on interactions to use with children, adults and families.

While this workshop will be primarily hands on (actual interventions will be done throughout the workshop) it will include some lecture on why/how of interaction. Attendees will be encouraged to ask questions throughout the
