Participating in a division, region, or chapter is a great way to get involved! ICA offers 12 Divisions, 7 Regions, and 9 chapters for members to participate in which allows you (the ICA member) to interact with counselors from many diverse backgrounds across the state.

 


Divisions

ICA offers 12 unique divisions that encompass different areas of counseling. If there's an area of counseling you specialize in or something you've wanted to learn more about, becoming a member of a division is a great way to learn more about a topic, get discounts on exclusive division trainings, and network with other counselors within that division.

Regions

ICA offers 7 regions across the state of Illinois. You can be active in your region based on where you live. Being an active member of a region grants you access to fun networking events like region meetups.

Chapters

ICA offers 9 unique chapters. Chapters are autonomous groups of like minded counselors either linked by location, or by topic. You do not have to be a member of ICA to belong to a chapter, but the chapter must be led by an ICA member and meet ICA chapter standards as outlined in our by-laws.  ICA Chapters meeting ICA standards are allowed 1 seat on the ICA Governing Council each year.
