Compact

Currently several national organizations including AMHCA and ACA have contracted with a Licensing Compact Company to achieve this goal. Illinois and ICA and IMHCA and CICO supports these efforts. We support all efforts to achieve licensure portability for professional counselors.

ACA on Counseling Compact

Passed in 37 states
Equal Health Care for All Act
"This bill prohibits discrimination in health care based on race, religion, and other characteristics. It also revises reporting requirements, adds equity-related measures to certain Medicare programs, and makes other changes to reduce health disparities."

IBH Model
 Innovation in Behavioral Health Model. According to CMS: "IBH is focused on improving quality of care and behavioral and physical health outcomes for Medicaid and Medicare populations with moderate to severe mental health conditions and substance use disorder (SUD). Medicare and Medicaid populations experience disproportionately high rates of mental health conditions and/or substance use disorders (SUD), and as a result are more likely to experience poor health outcome"
